History: ymir @ the snk wikia page

Personality: The person who knows her the most, Christa, describes her as someone with the worst personality ever. This is true, judging by her social skills at 2/10. Ymir is rude and straight-forward, and will tell you what she thinks no matter how insensitive it is. You can always trust her to come with an honest opinion, to say the least. It doesn’t matter if your friend just fucking died, if you’re being a useless piece of shit you’re being a useless piece of shit, and Ymir will tell you exactly this no matter how ruthless it sounds.

Not only is she hard to get along with, she’s also very selfish, bossy and hard to cooperate with, though most of the time she’s not interested in cooperating with other people, making working with her a nightmare. She does, however, seem to have kindness in her, shown in the many instances she helps Christa. (Carrying Sasha, Saving Dazz, and last but not least-- Castle Utgard.) But Christa seems to be a special case as she certainly doesn’t do this for anyone else. During the military boot camp it’s mentioned that Ymir was good enough to rank in the top 10, but held back in order for Christa to take the tenth spot. It’s implied that Ymir wanted her to join the military police, for reasons to be explained later.

Ymir hates when people are hiding their true self, usually calling them out. She’s quick to point out Christa’s martyr complex spawning from her true identity, as well as Sasha hiding her true dialect. Though, ironically, Ymir is hiding her true self too.

Her awkward personality might come from the fact that Ymir is a titan. This is revealed when Reiner, Bertholdt, Connie, Christa and herself are trapped on the top of an old castle, Castle Utgard, with lots of titans surrounding them and no where to run. This is where Ymir reveals her secret by transforming into a titan in an attempt to save them, though mostly for the sake of Christa, having the other girl promise her that after this she’ll explain everything, and Christa will live under her real name. Ymir’s close to sacrificing herself in order to save her friends, but is saved when Mikasa and other soldiers come to rescue them. Here, it’s also revealed that during Christa and Ymir’s mission far back, Ymir rescued a soldier Christa “wanted to save” by turning into a titan and jumping down a cliff.

Unlike the other titan shifters in the series, Ymir started out as one. Years ago when Reiner, Bertholdt and their friend Berrik were going to infiltrate Wall Maria, she ate Berrik, an apparent titan shifter, something that turned her into a human being. For a couple of years she observed humans, pickpocketing and running around in the shadows of Wall Sina. This is where she finds out about Christa, and starts hatching out a selfish plan to save herself, because in the end, she’s afraid to die, too. When talking with Bertholdt and Reiner about how her life as a titan outside the walls were, she tells them it was hellish, and this isn’t something she plans to return to.

So for entirely selfish reasons she sells out Christa-- Historia’s secrets to save herself. She actually does have the worst personality. However, this seems to be one of Ymir's last resorts. After all, Ymir wanted Historia to join the military police, wanted her to live for herself, wanted her to be happy. While she abused Historia's status for her own good, it's not something she seems to entirely want to do, but something that she finds herself forced to do in order to live. Ymir is shocked and apparently happy when Historia tells her she'll support her anyway.

Special Abilities:
- While not having an official rank or special mention, much like the others of the 104th squad, Ymir’s been said to be good enough for the ranks. She’s spent three years in a boot camp, and can use a 3DMG, as well as she’s been trained with hand-to-hand combat skills.
- She’s a titan shifter! Ymir can turn into a 7 meter class titan. This also means she'll give off steam when angered, as well as she can regenerate when hurt. You cut off her arm?
No problem, she'll grow a new one. (Though this is most likely not going to work as well in the beginning in this game)

How did your character die?
For now, Ymir has no canon death. For now. She could die in the next chapter, for all I know. (cries a little)

But!! For the setting of this game, Christa is too late and Mikasa successfully cuts the nape of Ymir's titan form's neck, along with Ymir's head. :')

First Person:
Q&A

1. If there was one thing you missed about being a Titan, what would it be?

Really? What a ridiculous question. Well, it's easier when you feel less. You have to think less, you just follow your instincts. There's no moral, no right or wrong. Life's way less complicated when all you know is that you have to eat humans.
2. Popcorn or kettlecorn? Your answer determines the fate of the entire universe.

What the fuck is popcorn. Or kettlecorn, for that matter. Sorry universe, you got the wrong hero.
3. Define what it means to love someone.

Wow, you're asking me? ... I dunno. Guess it means you care more about them, and want them to have a better life.
4. If you could have a house, apartment, studio, mansion, shack, or another form of home, which would you prefer and why?

I don't mind as long as it's shelter and I can call it home. Don't really care much.
5. Are you a summer or a winter person?

As much as I don't like freezing to death, summers are hella hot. Got an advantage during the winters, so I'll go for that.

Third Person:
Ymir wished she died with no regrets.

She fucked up, she fucked up big time. Had she known Mikasa would attack her ass just like that, she wouldn’t have gone back for Christa at all and let Reiner and Bertholdt kill her for themselves. It would’ve been simpler, easier -- better. Then, she would have no regrets, because Christa would be safe. In the end, Ymir wanted to live. But the deep cut in her neck was painfully real, it all went so fast and she died within seconds. It was ironic how she’d spent her last three years learning how to do that, only to be killed that way -- but after all she was a titan and no matter how much she wished for something else, that was her true form. A seven meter tall flesh-eating murderer.

Opening her eyes, Ymir was quick to realize that this wasn’t a world she was familiar with. She was fully aware that this thing she’s been.. sleeping(?) on was in fact, a bench in some park, but everything around her was different -- the surroundings, the scent, the bright lights. Seemingly careless about the entire situation, her hands reached for her neck. No blood, no scar, nothing. She spent much longer than intended staring at her hand, wondering why there’s no blood, why she doesn’t have any trouble breathing, because while she’s capable of regenerating… Almost having your head cut off wasn’t an entirely pleasant experience.

And so Ymir closed her eyes again. Maybe this was some odd dream? Oh well, she figured out she might as well rest a bit longer. Sleeping on benches in public couldn’t possibly be a crime when you’re dead.
